The Company’s History
In April of 1981 the company was formed as a proprietorship by Gil Melo and then became incorporated under the name of G. MELO EXCAVATING LIMITED in January of 1986.
The company experienced major growth at the turn of the century and has become a strong presence in the Waterloo Region. The Project Manager/Estimator Steve Rands and the General Superintendent Johnny Sousa who run the day to day operations continue to be leaders as the company moves into its next chapter.
As a company, we aim for success and growth by balancing the needs of our clients and employees, while supporting our community and protecting the environment.
With more than 30 years experience in a wide range of jobs consisting of Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, and Municipal. G Melo Excavating is going to continue to pride itself in excellent workmanship and teamwork to continue to grow and meet all of the demands of the industry.
